The System
The system was founded by John Barrass, and launched on June 2006 after three years of research into self defence and combat systems effectiveness in stressful street combat situations. John, an accomplished martial artist holds high grades in Aikido, Wado Ryu Karate and Kenjutsu (Japanese swordsmanship). John is also a highly experienced practitioner of the Goshinjutsu and unarmed combat systems.
The U.K.E.S.D.C.S was created for instantaneous response to physical assault. It is a close combat fighting style designed to be free flowing for continuous multiple combination strikes using natural body movements incorporating fists, knees, elbows, feet etc. The training is very realistic and focused on ending the situation quickly against one or multiple assailants, incorporating kicks, throws, sweeps and evasive movements. Remember: a moving target is a harder target. The result is an all round effective fighting system which can cater for everyone.
The average street fight lasts minutes, but with regular progressive training it is possible to reduce this to seconds. It is possible to be prepared for violence, and this is the sole reason of the systems creation. However the correct mental attitude and approach to the training and conflict management is essential, it must be there or the system will not be as effective. The training places great emphasise on staying on your feet and remaining in control to fight successfully (but just in case the worst happens, we’ll teach you to how to survive on the ground).
We make every attempt to train for all possible situation were someone maybe required to defend themselves, regardless of your physical attributes. We believe that it is critical to think and train in this way as stress; adrenaline and other factors such as fear will seriously effect a person’s actions during a physical situation.
“Remember, you have one mind, but use any weapon and never, never fight fair”
